Holly Hybrids' Coatings & Treatments

Holly Hybrids offers several seed enhancement products that improve seed performance and help produce more reliable and uniform crops. Seed enhancements can be used, for example, to maximize seed germination and vigor, to protect against pests and diseases or to make planting easier. At Holly Hybrids, we develop our own seed enhancements and also work with specialist suppliers of advanced seed technology solutions to provide the following products:

QuickPrime

A thin layer of powder followed by a color coating to help fill and smooth out irregular shaped seed.

Pro-Coat

A light application of fungicides to protect against soil borne fungi and a color coating to fill and smooth out irregular shaped or sized seed.

Ultra-Pellets

A material build up around rough, flat, irregular seed to produce bigger, rounder, smoother and more uniformly sized coated seed.

Mega-System

A new pelleting system that maximizes vigor and germination speed in seed lots to produce a more homogeneous field stand.

Tachigaren

A seed treatment fungicide developed to fight soil borne fungi such as Aphanomyces spp., Pythium spp., Fusarium spp., and some strains of Rhizoctonia Solani. Tachigaren can only be ued on pelleted sugar beet seed.

Gaucho

A seed treatment that protects against damage caused by early season wireworms, root maggots, flea beetles, white fies, aphids, and leafhoppers.
